Community Workshops for Parents

Our CADE specialists are available to facilitate parent workshops about drug abuse and preventing violence within the family as well as in the neighborhood. Parents are especially eager to learn how to keep their own children out of trouble. Special workshops may also be arranged. For instance, "What Would You Do, Dad?" is for men who want to learn how to become more involved with their children.

CADE can customize workshops and programs for parent-teacher organizations, scout groups, religious organizations, and other parent/community support gr oups. Contact us to discuss your needs.

  Tip

2. Start Early

Just as surely as you need to teach your kids not to play in the road, you need to teach them about the dangers of drugs, including smoking and drinking. They'll very likely be exposed to drugs from kindergarten on. So say it early. Say it often. And match the message with your child's age.
