CADE Named "Champion
In Action" For Its Work
In Violence Prevention

On October 12, 2007, CADE was awarded a $25,000 grant as the recipient
of the Champion in Action. The presentation was made during a live
broadcast of the "10! Show," on NBC 10. Executive Director,
Ellie Boyarski, along with the CADE staff and members of the Board
of Directors were part of the studio audience. Champions in Action
is an innovative program that provides various forms of support
for small non-profit organizations in recognition of their contributions
to communities throughout the five-county Philadelphia area. Since
its inception in 2003, 15 Champions have been selected.
"Citizens Bank is pleased to join NBC 10, Greater Philadelphia
Cares, The Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News in naming CADE as
our new Champion in Action, " said Pamela A. Crawley, Senior
Vice President and Director of Public Affairs for Citizens Bank.
CARON FOUNDATION SELECTS CADE FOR
PROGRAM EXCELLENCE AWARD
In April 2006, CADE was selected by the Caron Foundation
to receive its Educational Excellence Award---Institution. The
award recognizes the educational institution that has proactively
supported and embraced programs that educate students to understand
chemical dependency through awareness programs. The award was presented
at Caron's Annual Community Service Awards program on June 9, 2006.
